The Boat

10" h x 18. Lake Erie driftwood - baked, sanded, and clear sealed. Two very vintage pulleys and brass base. Steel support pole is actually a vintage Ford/Fomoco engine valve. To me, this piece instantly had the look and feel of on old ship being tossed about on the waves... $240

COME ON IN

Come On In

20" h. I was gifted this interesting and uniquely shaped wood. After burning and polishing, it's been sealed with a clear matte acrylic and a satin Minwax. Embellished with vintage door hardware (1890's) - lock and hinge on one side, and the lovely and collectible very old glass knob on the other. Brass tubing from an antique gas lamp extends from the solid pine base that has been torched, brushed and coated in Varathane gloss. $215

GHOST DANCER

Ghost Dancer

10" h. Sensuous curves on this unique wood piece from a Port Stanley, ON beach. It's great from all sides and angles. Baked, with some subtle colour enhancement and satin Minwax finished. Metal support rod in a small cedar tree cross section. $60

THE SKATER

The Skater

8" h. Found this marvelous, balanced, chunk of heavy steel while out exploring. It's a railway track connector bar. Of course it instantly reminded me of a skate blade, but also resembles a sleight runner. So I embedded and epoxied it into this very sculptural reclaimed vintage railyard brick. Brick base has been clear coated for preservation. $110

TWIN PEAKS

Twin Peaks

20" h. A piece with a feeling of great strength and confidence. I discovered these two old forest remnants near each other and was fascinated with their matching curved shapes - most likely the outer portion of a large tree. It felt like they deserved to be preserved and elevated to a new purpose. Wood base was a left over construction board from our 1894 home - it's been charred, brushed and clear sealed. Metal support posts are protruding from an antique railway connector heavy steel plate. $290

27" h. Another piece with a feeling of great strength and confidence. I was excited to come across the very cool wood piece! Makes you wonder how it got all those twists and curves! It's been baked and finished with a combination of matte and satin clear coats. Metal support post is in a thick pine section that has been charred, sanded and Varathane finished. $245
